UNDERSTANDING POVERTY 1.5 hours

Volunteer Prayer & Devotions

We are pleased to provide devotions for our volunteers Wednesday – Saturday, 8:35 – 8:50 AM. Devoting time to God and each other before we begin serving our guests is a great way to start the day. Volunteers often comment on how much this devotional time among friends ministers to them.

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another…” (Hebrews 10: 24-25)

Age Guidelines for Volunteers

The following guidelines have been established in the interest of serving our guests with excellence as well as the concern for safety for all of our volunteers.

  • Ages 0-11 years: Not able to serve, but can have fun in the Kids Clubhouse!
  • Ages 12-15: May serve in food and clothing with their parent/guardian and must stay with them at all times. One parent/guardian for every 3 children 12-15 years old.
  • Ages 13+: May serve as a Student Leader in the Kids Clubhouse without their parent/guardian.
  • Ages 16+: May serve independently, but must transport themselves to and from the Healing Center; may not be dropped off/picked up. If unable to transport yourself, parent/guardian must be present in the building. If in a group of 5 or more, an adult must be present and serving with them.

Childcare

Parents, we have made a place for you and your children too. You're welcome to serve with us at the Healing Center and bring your children along.

The Kids Clubhouse is a safe place we've created just for children (0-5th grade) at the Healing Center. Childcare is provided free of charge to guests and volunteers while at the Center.
